Short Story Idea Cont.

As she walked through her village holding a sac of fresh potatoes, she heard a scream. A familiar scream. At the same moment, she saw a woman squeezing her child's arm for dear life, running away from the sound she had just heard. She knew something was wrong. She sprinted shoeless down the dirt path to her home, not realizing that she had dropped the potatoes she had just bought onto the ground. As she came closer to her home, she noticed large footsteps in the dirt from a mans boot. Beside them were two different tracks from two young childrens bare feet. She stood and stared at the damaged door the once guarded her home. She knew what happened. The entire vilage has been getting warning from the ongoing problem of militias kidnapping children and using them for their own selfish reasons. As she slowly opened the broken door and gazed inside, she fell to her knees and sobbed. Her eldest son lay there on the ground, unconscious while blood oozed slowly from his head.

Leafs Game

The first period was rough. 2 goals in such a short amount of time was hard to handle. The team knew that they had to pull it together.
The team and the fans gained back their momentum after the first goal, which made the score 2-1. It was only the second period, and everyone knew we still had time to catch up. Our best players were out on the ice right now, and the fans were ready to see another goal to tie up the game.
He shoots! HE SCORES!
The fans went wild. Hundreds of fans in blue and white jumped out of their seats and clapped. Behind all the chants and screams, you could hear a number of fans joining together to cheer "Go Leafs Go".

Heard Separation, Saw Serparation, Felt Separation

It's never really what we asked for. We barely had a say in it. We were just watching along the sidelines - hoping, wishing for another way out.
We both love our parents...alot. Even though what we went through wasn't what we wanted, it had to be done. A few tough years and now we all love where we are. I couldn't see my life any other way..
